Migration of a health e-commerce website to Magento 2 for SESA Indonesia

SESA is an e-commerce platform founded in 2017 that focuses on providing complete daily needs for a healthy lifestyle.
The website brings the shopping experience for everyday nutritional needs more convenient with a safe and secure transaction guarantee. SESA is the place to help you have an easy, healthful life transformation to enjoy a beautiful life.

Challenge

2022 is an essential milestone for SESA Indonesia because they take their digital step to the next level. It starts with website migration to the Magento platform with a fresh appearance and user-friendly website.
Then SESA also wanted to create Android and iOS-based apps which allows the customer to make an order through mobile phones. The most challenging we faced was building apps with an API system so that what is changed on the website will be updated automatically in the apps.
Another thing is that to make the business processes more seamless and efficient, SESA wished to integrate with third-party apps within the website. And this third-party integration, such as Xendit, JNE, and Vinculum, requires smooth coordination so that the integration runs appropriately.

Solution

A user-friendly design
SESA believes that a user-friendly design will not only attract more visitors but will also help them in generating more revenue. And how we implement the user-friendly design by adding plus and minus buttons for each product that allows the customer to add products to the cart quickly. So the customer can order in one window without having to go to another page.

All-in-one platform framework
SESA wanted to create mobile-based apps, so we implemented Android and iOS apps in 1 platform framework using Flutter. It means time-efficient and money-saving for SESA. These apps make purchasing decisions more straightforward and quicker.

Easy Payment
For SESA as an e-commerce business, ​having easy payment is crucial. Therefore we integrated with Xendit for payments. Recently, we implemented Fixed Virtual Accounts so customers can only get one Virtual Account number for each transaction every time they make a payment. We aimed to increase the conversion rate and decrease cart abandonment by implementing this.

Engage Customers with Push Notifications
To build 1:1 relationships with SESA audiences, we implemented One Signal for push notifications in apps for promotional purposes. We choose One Signal because it is the best choice for reliability, ease of use, price, and enabling companies of all sizes to send more thoughtful, more effective messages.
